Upkeep

Upkeep is money spent between sessions to maintain a character’s standard of living. If no money is spent, players receive no penalties or benefits.

Upkeep must be consistent in order to be effective. In order to receive the benefits of a given level of luxurious living, players must have maintained that level of upkeep for at least 1 session prior. These fees Cannot be paid retroactively.

Each level of upkeep spending includes all the benefits of the levels below it.

50sp/Session: Well groomed, gain a +1 on all initial reaction rolls.
100sp/session Hale and hardy. Player gains a benefit of 0.5 hit points per hit die to their max HP.
200sp/session Player may apply a +2 to a single roll during the game.
300 / session Players may automatically succeed on a single ability check, granted they have at least 11 in the given ability score.
500 / session Player may automatically save a single saving throw each session.
1000 / session If player dies, they have a 1-in-6 chance of making a miraculous recovery. Max once per session.
2000 / session If player dies, they have a 2-in-6 chance of making a miraculous recovery. Max once per session.
3000 / session If player dies, they have a 3-in-6 chance of making a miraculous recovery. Max once per session.
4000 / session If player dies, they have a 4-in-6 chance of making a miraculous recovery. Max once per session.
5000 / session If player dies, they have a 5-in-6 chance of making a miraculous recovery. Max once per session.
